Brendan Cowell’s RUBEN GUTHRIE begins filming
Brendan Cowell’s play RUBEN GUTHRIE has been adapted into a feature film. The film will mark Cowell’s directorial debut. Mumbrella notes: “Cowell’s project is among 19 films to receive a cut of the $450,000 development support from Screen Australia.”
Yael Bergman will produce, and is joined by executive producers Laura Waters and Andrea Denholm.
Abbey Lee Kershaw has been cast as Czech woman, Kershaw. “I’m super amped on this one and not just because it is Australian. It’s because it’s an independent film that is character driven and emotion driven and based on real-life stories.” Sydney Morning Herald
