MTC artistic director Brett Sheehy has announced the 2014 season and a move to break the dominance of white males in Australian theatre by inviting women directors and ethnic minorities to become more closely involved with the company.

Brett says the company will next year appoint 12 women as affiliate directors and work with 11 multicultural arts ambassadors as MTC attempts to more accurately reflect Australian society.

His second season as artistic director, Brett’s program for 2014 includes a revival of Lally Katz’s NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH which had a sell out season at Belvoir in 2011; and a new play by Brendan Cowell, THE SUBLIME.
