Lucy Coleman is a writer/director for film and television.

Lucy’s project EXPOSURE is one of 10 selected out of 1500 applicants for Ron Howard, Brian Grazer & Tyler Mitchell’s eight-week initiative Impact Australia where she will develop the series and eventually take it out to the international TV market.

In 2019, Lucy was one of twelve selected by Screen Australia for Talent LA; a week-long program of workshops and networking opportunities in LA with Film Independent and Australians in Film assisting the curation of the program.

Lucy graduated with a Masters of Creative Writing from Sydney University in 2013 and went on to complete a masters of screenwriting at AFTRS in 2014. In the same year Lucy was awarded ATYP’s National Young Writers Studio scholarship for winning the new voices competition for her short film HOT KEBAB GUY.

Lucy’s debut feature film HOT MESS screened at For Film Sake Film Festival in Sydney and premiered in the US at Seattle International Film Festival in 2018. The film is produced by Lyn Norfor and Sheila Jayadev at Emerald Productions, and was released by FilmInk in 2020.

In 2017 Lucy wrote and directed the web series ON THE FRINGE starring comedian Sarah Gaul. The series launched at the Pilot Light TV Festival in Manchester and screened at the LA Comedy Festival and Sicily WebFest.

Lucy completed an attachment on Wild Eddie films’ 2012 feature NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN starring Ryan Kwanten and Sarah Snook, directed by Peter Templeton.
