Looking back at BALEEN MOONDJAN hosted at Queen Wharf for the Brisbane Festival earlier in the month.

This contemporary ceremony is described as “a powerful celebration of First Nations stories, totemic connections, and the sacred resilience of Country.”

The dance was performed on a barge floating on the Brisbane River beneath nine-metre whale bones.
