Van Badham Writers

Van Badham is a theatre-maker, screenwriter and journalist with a weekly topical opinion piece in The Guardian Australia. Some months her socials are viewed by more than five million people.

As a theatre-maker, Van has had more than 100 productions of her work, most recently a new musical work THE QUESTIONS with Mitchell Butel and an adaptation of Lope De Vega’s A FOOL IN LOVE. In 2025 she was nominated for the Griffen Award for her gothic genre play RAVEN. Van has worked on a screenplay adaptation of an incredible true story with Jungle Partners.

Ange Betzien is a multi-award winning playwright and screenwriter. Ange has written an episode for upcoming Netflix/See Saw series,  Apple Cider Vinegar and they are currently head writer on three literary adaptations and one original concept for television with Werner Film Productions, Lingo and See Saw.

Gemma Bird Matheson is an AWGIE and AACTA nominated writer and actor of South African and Papua New Guinean heritage. She was one of the 2023 Talent Gateway recipients, an initiative run by Screen Australia and Australians in Film.
