Nominations for 2019 Helpmann Awards Announced

The 2019 Helpmann Awards nominations have just been announced with Yellow clients receiving nominations

The prestigious annual Helpmann Awards recognise artistic achievement in the many disciplines of Australia’s live performance sectors, including musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, cabaret, regional touring, presentations for children and young people, opera, classical music, theatre, dance and physical theatre.

Yellow Client nominees:

Declan Greene:

  • Best Direction of a Play – BLACKIE BLACKIE BROWN: THE TRADITIONAL OWNER OF DEATH (Sydney Theatre Company and Malthouse Theatre)
  • BLACKIE BLACKIE BROWN: THE TRADITIONAL OWNER OF DEATH was also nominated for Best Play/ Best Supporting Male Actor and Best New Australian Work

Kip Williams:

  • Best Direction of a Play – THE HARP IN THE SOUTH: PART 1 AND PART 2  (Sydney Theatre Company)
  • THE HARP IN THE SOUTH: PART 1 AND PART 2 was also nominated for Best Play / Best Supporting Female Actor and Best New Australian Work

Damien Cooper:

  • Best Lighting Design – AB[INTRA] (Sydney Dance Company)

Jennifer Irwin:

  • Best Costume Design – DARK EMU (Bangarra Dance Theatre)
