Showrunner, Executive Producer and Writer Elise McCredie is co-creating a new ABC series TOXIC with Tony Ayres – the duo are renowned for their collaboration on STATELESS.

The new series explores the case of Erin Patterson who was found guilty of multiple counts of murder, after she served guests Beef Wellington containing the toxic ‘Death Cap’ mushrooms, resulting in three people dying and a fourth spending in months in hospital.

Elise McCredie attended the trial and in an interview with IF Magazine Elise said, “sitting in on the trial, watching evidence unfurl, change direction, and reposition itself has been an exercise in the subjectivity of ‘truth’ and a blueprint for a dramatic retelling that explores multiple perspectives in an honest and compelling way.”
