Whitefella Yella Tree Opens with Griffin Theatre

The world premiere of WHITEFELLA YELLA TREE opened on August 24th at Griffin Theatre Company’s SBW Stables Theatre.

Ty is River Mob. Neddy is Mountain Mob. In the middle of nowhere, these two teenage boys meet under a lemon tree, and after a difficult beginning, their fragile friendship develops into a heady romance.

In this powerful and tender love story, award-winning-playwright Dylan Van Den Berg explores themes of Queer love, identity and teenage romance in the context of British colonisation.

Co-directed by YCM artist Declan Greene and Amy Sole, WHITEFELLA YELLA TREE runs until September 23.
