Alice Babidge’s designs featured in MACBETH at Sydney Theatre Company

MACBETH, designed by Alice Babidge and directed by Kip Williams, opened at Sydney Theatre Company to great reviews.

In an ambitious re-imagining of the Sydney Theatre space, Alice and Kip have placed the audience on the stage and placed the actors in the seats. The Australian commented of the design that “the emptiness of all those serried rows of seats, in the context of this story, is chilling.. they become the setting for several scenes of exile.”
