Michele Lee nominated for Victorian Premier Award

The exceptional playwright Michele Lee has been shortlisted for the Victoria Premier 2019 Awards, for her play GOING DOWN.

GOING DOWN is a part fictional, part semi-autobiographal work which centers on a Hmong-Australian woman who lives and works as a writer in Melbourne.

The play explores the experience of growing up with a migrant background in Australia, and the expectations to fit a certain mould that come with that.
