Anchuli Felicia King is a Thai-Australian playwright and screenwriter.

Felicia has recently written episodes of upcoming Sister Pictures / HBO / Sky television series THE BABY, an Amazon Studios series and a Warner Bros International series for BINGE. Felicia is developing several of her original ideas with studios and commissioners.

Felicia’s professional debut was the Royal Court Theatre’s mainstage production of her play WHITE PEARL in 2019 which was directed by Nana Dakin. WHITE PEARL was subsequently produced by Sydney Theatre Company / National Theatre of Parramatta in Sydney and the Studio Theatre in Washington DC.

GOLDEN SHIELD had its world premiere in 2019 at Melbourne Theatre Company and was shortlisted for the Susan Smith Blackburn Award. In 2022 Manhattan Theatre Club will produce this play which is set to preview in April.

SLAUGHTERHOUSE premiered at 25A an indie season of theatre at Belvoir in Sydney, directed by Benita De Wit. The American Shakespeare Centre awarded Felicia’s play KEENE the Shakespeare’s New Contemporaries Award in 2019.

Felicia has worked as a writer, dramaturg, sound designer, projection designer and creative consultant with a wide range of companies, including Punchdrunk, PlayCo, Roundabout Theater, 59E59, Ars Nova, the Obie Awards, The Builders Association, Ensemble Studio Theater, Red Bull Theater, Yellow Earth Theatre (London), House of North (Berlin) and SHIFT Festival (Shanghai).

Felicia was the 2020 Patrick White Fellow at Sydney Theatre Company and is currently under commission with the Royal Court Theatre, the Manhattan Theatre Club, the Atlantic Theatre Company, the Sydney Theatre Company and the Melbourne Theatre Company.
