Charlie Garber is a writer, script editor, and actor with over twenty years’ experience, working across stage and screen.

He is Head Writer on Fremantle’s new Rhys Darby led comedy series, and is currently script producing the TV adaptation of Jessie Tu’s A LONELY GIRL IS A DANGEROUS THING and Thomas Duncan-Watt’s drama THE NIGHTMOVER. He spent three formative years as a full-time writer at Jungle Entertainment, where he co-created and wrote SANDO (ABC), and worked across NO ACTIVITY, SQUINTERS, and HERE COME THE HABIBS.

Charlie’s work in development includes serving as Head of Development at Thumper Pictures, collaborating with writers of all levels on original TV and film. Other recent credits include IN LIMBO (S2) and BUMP (S4), along with writers’ rooms for Disney, Brouhaha, Heiress Films, Roadshow Rough Diamond, and Princess Pictures.

As a performer and theatre-maker, Charlie’s play THE ASTRAL PLANE was staged in Belvoir’s Downstairs Theatre in 2019. He previously co-created and performed the comedy theatre shows MASTERCLASS 1 and MASTERCLASS 2 (with Gareth Davies), as well as numerous festival shows with the theatre group Pig Island (with Nick Coyle and Claudia O’Doherty).

He continues to develop new screen projects with Easy Tiger, Thumper, and Princess Pictures.
