Judi McCrossin is an award winning Australian screenwriter and producer. She is currently in development for a number of projects, many of which are based in the UK.

Her career started with her writing debut on short film FETCH, being selected for competition at Cannes, along with four other international festivals.

Following this, Judi became the principal writer on the multi award winning Australian series, THE SECRET LIFE OF US, which has recently had its 20 year anniversary. The series was re-released on Netflix Australia in June 2021, which saw the show climb to one of the Top 10 most viewed shows on the streaming site.

Her additional credits include creating, producing and writing two seasons of ABC’s AACTA-award winning THE TIME OF OUR LIVES. She also wrote and produced Channel 10’s THE SURGEON, starring Justine Clarke and Sam Worthington, which saw Judi nominated for AFI’s Best Telemovie/Miniseries, and a Logie for Most Outstanding Drama Series. She wrote and produced THE WRONG GIRL for Channel 10, and also recently produced THE LISTIES WORK FOR PEANUTS, a children’s show currently screening on the ABC.

In terms of long form credits, Judi wrote telemovie BEACONSFIELD, which saw her nominated for an AWGIE. It screened on Channel Nine and is one of the highest rating telemovies ever shown on the network.

Judi was awarded the Australian Centenary Medal in the Queen’s New Years Honours List for her services to Australian society in writing for television.
