Samantha created, wrote and executive produced upcoming 10-part series THE END for Foxtel, Sky Atlantic and Showtime, produced by See- Saw Films. The Guardian UK has described THE END as “devastating TV that shows what makes life worth living.” The Times reviewed it as “extraordinary and devastating”.
Sam created and showran beloved Australian series, DANCE ACADEMY, which screens in over 160 countries and ran to 65 episodes. She won three Australian Writer’s Guild Awards and the series was nominated for two International Emmys. In 2016, Samantha wrote a spin-off feature film, DANCE ACADEMY: THE MOVIE, which has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Sam wrote and executive produced television adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel NINE PERFECT STRANGERS for Hulu, created by David E Kelley and produced by Made Up Stories and Blossom Films, starring Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy.
Sam has written episodes of MONKEY, OFFSPRING, WONDERLAND and wrote telemovie MARY: MAKING OF A PRINCESS for Channel 10.
Sam’s upcoming projects include the feature film THE PRESIDENT’S ASTROLOGER for Pathe and Film 4, directed by John Madden and the adaptation of another Moriarty novel for Made Up Stories and Blossom Films.
Sam is the founder of production company PICKING SCABS which she runs with Emile Sherman from See-Saw Films and where Liz Watts and Louise Gough are EPs.
