Sam is Creator of the THE END for Foxtel and Sky Atlantic, produced by See-Saw. Sam is Executive Producer and Writer of the 10x 30-minute dramedy series which stars Frances O’Connor, Harriet Walter and Morgan Davies about three generations trying to figure out how to die with dignity, live with none and make it count. The series aired on Sky in early 2020 and received rave reviews, it will air later this year in Australia.

Sam is writing feature film THE PRESIDENT’S ASTROLOGER for Fox Searchlight, director John Madden and producer Damian Jones. Sam is currently under commission to deliver a television pilot to ABC Network (USA), a Liane Moriarty television adaptation to Made Up Stories and Blossom Films and a new original series to See-Saw Films.

Sam created and script produced 65 episodes of DANCE ACADEMY which screens in over 160 countries. Sam wrote 25 episodes and was nominated for five Australian Writer’s Guild Awards, winning twice. Her episodes were also nominated for NSW Premier’s Literary Awards in 2011 and 2014. The series was nominated for two International Emmys, won the Outstanding Children’s Series Logie awards in 2012 and 2013 and won or was nominated for numerous AACTA awards, AWG awards, ATOM awards, Australian Directors Guild Awards, Asian Television awards, Sichuan Festival Golden Panda awards, Banff Television Festival and New York Festivals awards. A spin-off feature film – DANCE ACADEMY: THE MOVIE – opened theatrically in 2017 which The Australian newspaper said was “better than LA LA LAND”.

Sam script produced and wrote three episodes of the second series of THE WRONG GIRL for Channel 10 and wrote one episode of THE NEW LEGENDS OF MONKEY for See-Saw Films and Netflix. Sam wrote a television movie called MARY: THE MAKING OF A PRINCESS for Fremantle Media which was the highest rating drama on Network Ten in 2016.
