Tim Ferrier

Designers

Tim is an award-winning production designer for stage and screen. Tim has recently worked as a Production Designer season two of LAST KING OF THE CROSS for Paramount +. Prior to this, he designed NCIS:SYDNEY for Paramount +, NIGHT BLOOMERS for ABCTV, THE QUEEN OF OZ for Lingo Pictures and the BBC,  and BALI 2002 for 9Network, Screentime and Endemol Shine Australia. He designed BARONS for Fremantle and ABC, THE COMMONS for Stan and FRIDAY ON MY MIND the ABC music biography of the Easybeats. He received an AACTA nomination for Best TV drama Production Design for both THE COMMONS and FRIDAY ON MY MIND, for which he also won an APDG award.

In 2004, he designed the convict period mini series THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF MARY BRYANT for which he received an Australian Film Institute award nomination for Best Production Design. Tim’s other television credits include; three seasons of cult favourite FARSCAPE for the Sci –Fi Network, where he created a new world every week. Also the gritty multi award winning EAST WEST 101 for SBS. Two seasons of A PLACE TO CALL HOME and four seasons of LOVE CHILD.

Tim has designed over 40 screen projects. His feature film credits include DATING THE ENEMY, THE MATRIX, and MANTHING for Marvel Pictures.

After graduating from NIDA in 1985 he designed BLOOD RELATIONS for the Sydney Theatre Company and State Theatre Company of South Australia. He also worked on THE RAKES PROGRESS and CURLEW RIVER for The Australian Opera. Tim has lectured in screen design at AFTRS, NIDA and TAFE. He is currently the co-chair of the Screen Design committee for the APDG.
