Eloise Snape
WritersEloise is an award-winning writer, actor, producer and voice artist. She completed a Bachelor of Media in Writing at Macquarie University, graduating in 2006 and received a scholarship to study in London. She also attended Actors Centre Australia graduating in 2011 and holds an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts majoring in Acting.
Eloise has worked extensively as an actor in theatre and she works consistently on screen, most recently for CBS/Binge in Colin from Accounts Season 1 and 2. In theatre, she most recently starred in Midnight Murder at Hamlington Hall with Ensemble Theatre Company and she will work there again later this year, starring in McGuffin Park.
As a producer, she has worked with her own independent theatre company, MopHead Productions, as well as Ensemble Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre Company and Critical Stages Touring.
Eloise’s debut work as a writer, Pony, was shortlisted for the Queensland Premier’s Drama Award 2022-23, the Rodney Seaborn Playwrights Award 2021, the Patrick White Playwright’s Award 2022 and the Griffin Award 2022. Pony premiered at Griffin Theatre Company in 2023 and was a critical and commercial hit receiving a Sydney Theatre Award Nomination for Best New Australian Work. Eloise is currently in development on a range of projects across stage and screen, including the screen adaptation of Pony with Naomi Just and Justine Flynn of Drama Queen and co-writing a feature with Kacie Anning and Domino Crescent Productions. She is also developing a new play as part of APT’s emerging writers group.
